Well, yeah, I have discovered the only thing that can truly put me in a coma. An Algebra II exam. (Well, that and babysitting 2 energetic kids the night before, and not getting enough sleep.) I felt myself drifting off around question 88...
"Jingle Bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way..."
"Alright, that's enough class, take your seats." Mrs. Peterson tried to command the class without shouting at them, but she looked like the smile on her face was slightly strained. I quieted down, and gave her a smile, she looked rather surprised. But then again, yesterday, she had commented on how happy I was.
"Does ANYBODY have some duct tape?" Sam asked for the 5th time. She shook her head and turned to me. "A whole class of Seminar students, and nobody's got any duct tape. I've got to fix my math notebook" she said as she gestured to the ragged pile of paper and cardboard.
"Yeah, you do," I answered. I tuned back into the class' conversation.
Lee was standing in front of the class. "Okay, raise your hand if you think we should watch the entertaining, exciting, and award-winning, 'Lord of the Possums'?"
I raised my hand, I had only heard of these Seminar movies from other members of the class, and I not only wanted to see Lord of the Possums, but Great Expectations, and heck, maybe we could even watch Zach's Harry Potter Parody.
Lee began to count, taking 2 votes for each raised hand, and even counting Austin once, even though Austin didn't vote. "Well, that's it! 20 for watching it! We win!"
I laughed as he returned to his seat and Mrs. Peterson tried to get us to settle down. "I love this class!" I thought to myself, then realizing that the bad mood I had left French in was now a distant memory..................
My day dream ended as papers shuffled, and I got back to work. SOLVE: Mary, Susan, and James are buying lunch........
